Regardless of your parent’s annual income, one qualifies for a need-based scholarship. From US News, on average, $34,000 is given to each first-year student. Students must apply to Roanoke College before being eligible for their need-based scholarship.
- Merit-based aid
This scholarship is automatically awarded after being accepted to Roanoke College. Although education at Roanoke College is not as expensive as the Ivy League we know about, one has to have a minimum high school GPA of 3.35 or above to benefit from this aid. Based on the criteria, individuals are likely to receive an amount determined by their GPA:
- 4.0+ GPA = $20,000.
- 3.80 GPA = $18,000.
- 3.50 GPA = $16,000.
- 3.35 GPA = $14,000.
Note: Applicants with a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 and a 1200 SAT/25 ACT or higher at the time of acceptance to Roanoke College will receive an additional $1,000 merit award.
